GIFT CERTIFICATE PURCHASES:
1.Gift Certificate values can be used toward any service,
product, or retail item purchase being made at time of service. For example, the value in a Spa Boutique Dollar Value gift card can be used toward any service at time of payment.
2. Gift Certificates are like money, and are transferable. We are not responsible for lost or stolen gift certificates that are used by others other than the purchaser.
3. Gift Certificate purchases are non-refundable.
4. Discounts can not be applied to gift certificate purchases.
5. Please notify the receptionist at the time of appointment and check-in if you are using a gift certificate.
What is a facial?
We combine, cleansing, exfoliation, skin analysis, extractions if necessary, toning, and facial massage with a moisturizer containing SPF.
What does a facial consist of exactly?
Of course this is just a summary of what we do, To start your visit we will talk with you to determine the best skin care products for your unique skin. We will then provide a smock for you to change into. We carefully remove make-up and cleanse. We do skin analysis and extractions if necessary. Our next step is a gentle massage in a deep action scrub. We then select a toner specifically chosen for your skin type. Finally we apply a moisturizer containing SPF with gentle massaging motions. For specifics on the different types of facials we offer and our prices give us a call or stop in and check out our brochures.
Why should I have a facial?
Because facials will improve skin tone, texture, and appearance and help to firm fine lines and wrinkles while clearing up blemishes and breakouts. If you follow a skin care routine designed by your skin care therapists you will achieve the best results. You should come monthly to maintain your new beautiful skin.
What should I do between visits?
Our skin care therapist will design an at home routine that is designed specifically for you. Because each person has a unique skin type our therapist will go over how to use each product.
What skin care line do you use?
We use the Dermalogica skin care line. Dermalogica produces a wide variety of skin care products specifically designed to all skin types including, blemishes, dry skin, oily skin, combination skin, and mature skin.
Does having a facial make you break out?
Because facials are designed to deeply cleanse the skin, any breakouts that occur shortly after are only from the detoxification process. Breakouts are minimal and will disappear quickly. It's important to drink lots of water after a facial in order to assist with the cleansing process of the skin.
Can I wear make-up right after a facial?
Yes! We suggest that you use non-comedogenic makeup. Applying mineral make-up after a facial won't affect the results of the facial. We carry a full line of Glo-Mineral makeup.
Where will the facial take place?
Our facials are given in a private room. We use soft lighting and soothing music to make your experience very relaxing. We want the stress of your day to melt away.
Should I wear anything specific?
No, there is not a specific attire to wear to the spa. We provide you with a comfortable smock. We will ask that you remove all jewelry. We also have a comfortable robe for you to wear while discussing your skin treatment plan with the skin care specialist after your facial.
Should I talk to the skin care therapist while I am getting a facial?
This treatment is for you! We want you to be relaxed. If you have questions for the therapists, please feel free to discuss anything with her. Do not feel like it is necessary to hold a conversation with your therapist unless you would like to.
What should I not say?
Please do not be inappropriate with your therapist. She is there to help you. But if she feels you are being inappropriate, you will be asked to leave.
What about a tip?
Although it is not expected, It is appropriate to tip your therapist if your service was good.
Children with appointments:
We welcome children of all ages for appointments at our salon as long as accompanied by an adult.
Small Children with out appointments:
Because we are a small salon and we appreciate your need (and others) for relaxation, please allow yourself this time to spend with us alone.
Cell Phones & Pagers:
While you are at the salon, we ask that all cell phones and pagers be turned off. Please take this time to relax and escape from the rest of the world.
