PALESTINE - Five years after starting out in an 8-by-12 foot
room, Jamie’s Therapeutic Touch has grown into Palestine’s first
full-service day spa, offering treatments ranging from facials to
massages, from Botox to permanent makeup and teeth whitening.
On Friday, owner Jamie Pettiette-Rhone and staff will
celebrate five years in business with their customers, friends and
family with an open house from noon to 6 p.m. at the spa, located
at 1730 Crockett Rd.
“We want to thank everybody for our
last five years of business. We have been so blessed,” Rhone said
Friday. “Every year I think, what can I bring new to Palestine?”
The answer has been in the wide-ranging services, which
include massage therapy; body treatments; skin care; anti-aging
sensitive and acne facials; microdermabrasion; chemical peels;
weight-loss body wraps; detoxifying mud wraps; Ionithermie
cellulite treatments; full body waxing and sugaring; brow and lash
tinting; ear candling; Triggerpoint Oriental foot bath; full body
paraffin wrap; aqua detox; spray tan; professional Botox; infrared
dry sauna; and teeth whitening.
In addition, Dr. Matthew
Isom has joined the staff. Isom is a full-time obstetrician and
gynecologist with Dr. Stephen Bates and Dr. Robert Blackwell, and
is also certified to perform Botox and Restalyne treatments.
“He’s awesome. He’s a good down-to-earth person,” Rhone said.
“We’re happy to have him.”
And happy to celebrate five
years in Palestine.
“We’re growing and Palestine is
growing,” Rhone said. “We’re the best kept secret in Palestine.”
Events Friday include $2,000 worth of giveaways, free
makeovers by makeup artist Randal, free chair massages, free mini
facials, free skin analysis and free T-shirts, as well as Botox
and permanent makeup by Jolonda. Representatives of each product
line will be on hand to answer questions, Rhone said. The Breeze
102.3 FM will be on hand from 3 to 5 p.m. for a live remote
broadcast.
“Nobody will walk away empty handed,” Rhone
said. “We want people to come out and enjoy the good times.”
